I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Psalm 139:14 NIV

Praise God

Linda and David, the travel bloggers behind the Retired and Travelling blog, spoke to the Canadian Affair website people about all the things they love about Canada, including its diverse cities. They said, “So much to see in Canada. Major cities are large and cosmopolitan. Smaller towns offer local gems. And the outdoor beauty cannot be beaten with lakes, mountains and wildlife from coast to coast. A perfect vacation in Canada lets you experience this wide diversity in experiences and not just see one facet.”

I was speaking with some friends from the US recently. They had just returned from visiting Banff Alberta and were effusive in their praise for the beauty of this mountain village. We Canadians are without excuse in recognizing the ability of our Creator God. The world is filled with spectacular natural beauty. We are far from the first generation to recognize and honour God for His creation. In Psalm 139:14 we read: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” King David understood the majesty and perfection of God’s creation – he states that God’s works are wonderful. Usually, we see that in the macro of God’s creation – mountains and streams, the mystery of the universe and the depths of the seas. But David also sees the majesty of God the Creator in the micro – in God’s creation of himself – he declares that he is fearfully and wonderfully made. So are you, and so am I. The human body is proof of God’s creative genius. We are not the product of billions of years of natural selection. You are crafted by God Himself. Like David, praise Him.
