But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Love Proven

In 2020, Canada produced 4.66 million barrels per day of crude oil, a decline of 5% from 2019. This ranked Canada as the fourth largest oil producer in the world. Since 2010, Canada’s crude oil production has increased 57%. Canada holds some of the largest oil reserves in the world – almost 10% and is surpassed only by Venezuela and Saudi Arabia as of 2020. 75% of total Canadian production was exported to the United States in 2020.

We can say we love someone until we are blue in the face. But unless we live out that love and prove it in the way we treat others and live our lives, it can be doubted that we do genuinely love. This is particularly so in the closest of our relationships – with our spouse and our children and grandchildren. They see in our actions and attitude if we truly love them. God taught us this lesson most profoundly in sending Jesus. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Our greatest need is for a redeemer. Sin has separated us from our Creator, leaving us wondering about our purpose and fearful about the future. The heart of the Gospel is that God loves us dearly and has proven His love by sending Jesus to take the punishment we deserve, setting us free from our sin, and flooding our hearts with hope. Never doubt that God loves you, no matter what you have done, no matter how long you have walked away from Him. He sent Jesus to prove His love for you – put your faith and hope in Him.

These have been words from the heart.
