For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

So Loved

Google “Why is Canada so loved” and many articles pop up. One of them answers that question: “There is unlimited opportunity and potential to be found in Canada’s fast growing and industrialized economy. As one of the richest countries, Canada also offers the highest standard of living while decreasing taxes and strengthening their economy with a 2.3% inflation rate.

The economy continues to improve with the lowest unemployment rate since 1976 (6.8%) and hundreds of thousands of new jobs created annually.

Love may be an emotion, but it is far more than that. Love is expressed in so many ways, in big and small acts of compassion and faithfulness. What a blessing to hear someone say of another person “they love me so much that they did this for me.” This is the principle behind what is arguably the most beloved of all Bible verses. John 3:16 tells us “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” There has been no greater act of love than Jesus willingly laying down His life for us. He knew there was nothing we could do to pay off the debt of sin that we owe our perfect Creator God. Because He loves us so much, He took upon Himself the punishment that we deserve for our sin. I’m so glad that God’s love for us isn’t just an emotion – He acted on that love and provided Jesus as a Saviour. It boggles my mind that there are people who have yet to respond to this most incredible act of love. For God so loved YOU that He gave Jesus.

These have been words from the heart.
