Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness!

Psalm 150:2 (NLT)

His Unequaled Greatness

Truly the words “unequaled greatness” describe our God. He is worthy of praise. He is an awesome God and Creator of the entire universe. We are still exploring the frontiers of what He has made. When we are tempted to feel powerless over a situation, let us remember that our God has “unequaled greatness.” He welcomes our cry to Him. He will respond. In advance, give Him praise.

Due to active tectonic uplifting, Canada’s tallest mountain, Mount Logan is still rising in height. Before 1992, the exact elevation of Mount Logan was unknown and measurements ranged from 5,959 to 6,050 metres. In May 1992, a Geographical Survey of Canada expedition climbed Mount Logan and using GPS fixed the current height of 5,959 metres. The first expedition to climb to the summit began organizing in 1922 and accomplished the feat in 1925. It took them 65 days to arrive at the summit and return.

There is a reason why the name of Jesus is used as a curse word and why the average post- modern atheist hates the God they claim they don’t believe in. There is no one or nothing that comes even close to the majesty, power and glory of Almighty God. The name of Jesus is above all names and at that name demons flee, the blind see, the lame walk and above all else, the gift of salvation is offered. Psalm 150:2 says, “Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness!” At its heart, praise flows for two reasons – for what God does and who He is. We praise Him for every blessing He pours into our lives and when we come to know Him through faith in Jesus Christ, we begin to understand something of His nature. Through Christ we see Him in all of His unequalled greatness and in light of it we are overwhelmed by Him and praise will pour out. Take time to worship Him today – express praise through song and prayer. You will find your mind and your heart drawn to Him.

These have been words from the heart.
