From a bird’s eye view, Over Canada is a beautifully produced, award winning, high definition “aerial adventure” television documentary that unveils the dramatic splendour of the awe-inspiringly vast Canadian landscape. This stunningly beautiful documentary has received a rating of 8.8 on IMDb. It was directed by Gary McCartie, who provided Over Canada in 1999 and Over British Columbia in 2002.

The documentary Over Canada isn’t the only birds eye view of Canada’s incredible beauty. There is so much stunning scenery in our country, no one is able to show the country in one film. As beautiful as our country is, it is only a small part of the glory of God’s creation around our planet and across the expanse of the universe. God’s creative genius is clearly seen in His creation and in our own lives as He guides and leads us. So, King David writes in Psalm 25:4-5: “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” There is no film that will show you God’s ways or teach His paths. He guides us and teaches us through His Word. It is in the Bible that we discover God’s ways, walk along His paths, and are guided and taught His truth. In a world that says there is no truth, Jesus says He is the Truth. So, we look to Him, inviting Him as our Saviour, to show us His path, equipping us to walk in that truth and to live in hope all day long.
