Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
The pager was invented by Alfred J. Gross, a Toronto-based wireless communications pioneer, in 1949. Gross is also often credited as the inventor of the walkie-talkie, a distinction he sometimes shares with fellow Canadian Donald Hings, who is also credited for having created the two-way radio in 1939. Gross also invented the CB radio and the cordless phone. Before he died, he was quoted as saying: “I was born thirty-five years too soon. If I still had the patents on my inventions, Bill Gates would have to stand aside for me.”
Artists are brilliant. They imagine something and have the ability to transfer the idea onto canvas or marble or film. Non-creative people are amazed at this natural ability. If human beings can create beauty artistically, imagine what the Creator of the universe can do when he gets a hold of a heart that is open to Him. Paul says this in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!” The God who spoke the entire world into being speaks into our lives to recreate our hearts. He removes all the sin, guilt and shame from a lifetime of being human, and in its place gives a new heart that has been made righteous by the presence of Jesus. Just as He created the majesty of the mountains and the glory of the universe He can change your life and create beauty out of ashes. Just as God spoke the world into being, he can speak into your life and bring life out of death. Invite Him to make you into a new creation as your put your faith in Jesus.
These have been words from the heart.
