May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
1 Thessalonians 3:12 (NIV)
Overflow
The closed Canada/US border made things impossible for Canadians with post office boxes in US border towns to pick up their mail. In March 2021, The U.S. Postal Service office in Ogdensburg, N.Y., said it was no longer able to hold on to an overflowing amount of Canadian mail — causing customers north of the border to scramble to make alternate arrangements. Canadians had until March 15 to have someone get their mail, or it would be classified as “unclaimed” and returned to the sender.

We who are followers of Jesus have experienced the fullness of the love of God. There has never been a greater gift of love than His death and resurrection that led to our redemption. Just as His love overflowed into the life of the criminal next to Him who reached out in faith, so the love of Jesus overflows into our lives as we reach out in faith to Him. Paul the apostle, once an enemy of Jesus and His people, had experienced Jesus’ transforming, overflowing love and in 1 Thessalonians 3:12 he writes this: “May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.” Paul’s prayer was that the believers in Thessalonkia would love others as they had been loved by the Lord Jesus and by him. All of us who know Jesus by faith and have experienced His overflowing love are called to allow His love to overflow from our lives as well. He will give you opportunities to love others today. Take advantage of these opportunities and watch Him transform others through your loving concern and actions.
These have been words from the heart.
