Words from the Heart for Sunday February 17th, 2019
But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29 (NIV)
Over the past few years, Vancouverites have wrestled with the impact of foreign buyers on both the local and national real estate markets. The reality is that Canadians often purchase homes abroad as well. A new study ranks the top 30 home-buying destinations for Canadians. According to the study, Canadians love Mexico. It stands out as the first choice for Canadians buying abroad. The preferred location for Canadians within Mexico is Puerto Vallarta. Playa del Carmen, the fastest-growing real estate market in Latin America, is second and Cabo San Lucas is third.
How often have I heard the testimony of a person who has spent years searching for God. They have checked out many religions, traveled the world and read every book on religion and spirituality that they can find. And then they meet Jesus. The moment they do, the search is over. His peace and joy flood their hearts and for the first time in their lives they experience the living God. This shouldn’t surprise us. Deuteronomy 4:29 says “But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.” The Lord is not playing a game of cosmic hide and seek. He longs for a relationship with you. He has sent Jesus Christ to guarantee that relationship. And when you seek Him, truly seek Him, He promises that He will reveal Himself to you. You need to reach out in faith to the Lord Jesus, trusting Him completely as your Saviour and Lord. He will meet every need that you have and will fill the longing of your seeking soul. Are you truly seeking Him today?
These have been words from the heart.
