Words from the Heart for Sunday December 1st, 2019
May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Jesus gave his life for our sins. He set us free from this evil world. That was what our God and Father wanted.
Galatians 1:3-4 (NIRV)
A Perfect Plan
Over the past few years Canada has become a haven for foreign students. Our educational system at all levels has become respected around the world. But coming to Canada to study demands planning. Public secondary or high school is free in Canada for residents of the country. Many schools charge fees for international students, which can range from approximately CAD $8,000 to CAD $14,000 per year. On top of that are fees for extra curricular activities and lunch plans.
Don’t you love it when a plan comes together? You work on a project for months, looking forward to a successful conclusion and when it all falls into place perfectly you couldn’t be happier. That’s because when human beings plan there are all sorts of things that can go wrong. Not so with God’s plan. Listen to what Paul says in Galatians 1:3-4: “May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Jesus gave his life for our sins. He set us free from this evil world. That was what our God and Father wanted.” When God wants something it happens. The outcome is never in doubt. Even before sin entered into the human condition, God set a plan in place. He knew that sin would destroy our relationship with Him, and steal our inner peace. So He sent Jesus to give His life for our sins, and by grace, by unmerited favour, God would wipe away our sin and give us victory. You never have to wonder how this all worked out. It worked out beautifully and is offered to you freely. All you have to do is reach out in faith and receive it.
These have been words from the heart.
