“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him.

1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV

Prepared

Keeping Canadians safe and protecting health is a priority for the Government of Canada. This commitment was reinforced when Canada became the first G7 country to request an Emergency Preparedness Review mission by the International Atomic Energy Agency. The mission took place in June 2019 and evaluated Canada’s emergency preparedness and ability to respond to a nuclear emergency. A radiological or nuclear emergency is declared when an event has taken place that could threaten public health and safety, property, or the environment.

We prepare for all sorts of things. The more important the occasion, the better the preparation. Sometimes we even go out and buy something new to wear, or to bring, to the event. Preparation for the arrival of a new child can take months. If human beings take time to prepare, imagine what preparations God makes for His children. We don’t often think about how God makes preparations for us, but I Corinthians 2:9 tells us that He does. It says, “’What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’” – the things God has prepared for those who love him.” If you love Jesus, you never need to doubt that you are on His mind. And you can’t begin to imagine what He has prepared for you. Most of the time we know ourselves well enough to think that we don’t deserve a thing. Isn’t it enough that He has provided our redemption on the Cross? Well, that would indeed be enough. But God loves you so much that He has so much more prepared for you. The Kingdom of God in its fullness is something we can’t begin to imagine.

These have been words from the heart.
