I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Wonderfully Made

According to a website that focuses on Canadian-made products, “Since beginning their business in 1979, Paderno Cookware has found a way into almost every Canadian household. The business was founded in Prince Edward Island but has grown to become a multinational company. In 1985, Paderno only produced 30,000 pots, but last year they made over 220,000. Their products are featured in more than 400 Canadian stores. Paderno’s products are renowned for their quality and durability. They’re known for their sleek, classic style and gleaming stainless-steel look.”

We live in an age when death seems all around us. We read of murders in places where that was unheard of not long ago. Babies in the womb are not safe, and increasingly neither are people who are seen as a burden to society. In a world marked by death, God’s people are called to be protectors of life. There is no surprise here. The world teaches that we are a simply a product of chance, having no particular purpose for being here. So, if we have no purpose, life loses its value and is easy to throw it all away. What a contrast to what the Bible teaches in Psalm 139:14: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” You are a beautiful, created being. God made you on purpose and for a purpose. Once you have experienced His grace through faith in Jesus Christ, your gifts are sanctified for His purpose. In fulfilling that purpose, you will find peace and fullness of joy. Your Creator loves you and wants you to know how special you are.

These have been words from the heart.
