You will have nothing to fear at night and no need to be afraid of enemy arrows during the day.

Psalm 91:5 (ERV)

Nothing To Fear

A poll back in April reported that more Canadians than ever said they intended to get vaccinated against COVID-19, while fear about vaccine safety is the main driver of hesitancy to get an injection. At least 8in 10 people surveyed said they absolutely intend to roll up their sleeve for a vaccine. The number had been steadily rising for months as vaccines have been rolling out in Canada and around the world, starting at 63% in mid-October.

What is your greatest fear? Speaking in public? Snakes or spiders? The dark? We all have phobias. Mine are the fear of heights and tiny spaces. For some, fear is paralyzing. It can prevent someone from living a normal life, or any life at all. If you are dealing with any kind of fear at the moment, listen to the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 91:5: “You will have nothing to fear at night and no need to be afraid of enemy arrows during the day.” Night does seem to be a time when fear is more common that during the day. What a blessing to know that God never slumbers or sleeps. There is no reason for you to stay up at night being fearful. God is with you and is in control. Cast your care on Him and let him take care of your fear and worry. The same goes during the day. No matter what opposition you are facing, God is with you. He loves you and desires to carry the load you are carrying so you don’t have to. He can deal with whatever is causing your fear and anxiety far better than you can Let Him do so.

These have been words from the heart.
