God created people to work. Often, when we are busy, the pressure is on and we are overwhelmed by all that is on our plate, we think, “wouldn’t it be great if we could go back to the Garden of Eden and just enjoy all the good things that God had created, without having to work at all.” It is tempting to think that way, but that’s not how God created us. Genesis 2:15 says “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” Imagine, as soon as God created Adam, He put him into the Garden and gave him the task to take care of it. Our Creator knows that we get great satisfaction in the work that we do. He has a plan for each of our lives, to serve Him and others, according to the gifts and talents He has given us. Jesus calls us to invest those talents into things that have eternal significance. You will find great satisfaction and meaning in your work, as you work for the Lord in whatever it is that He has provided for you to do.

These have been words from the heart.
