Rooted and Established in Love
Canada has often been rated one of the most loved countries in the world. People tend to feel this way because we are known to be friendly and funny (intentionally or not), we have an expansive and diverse nation with a lush natural environment, and we produce internationally recognized people and products. But did you know that the world also loves us because of our bacon? Each year Canada produces enough bacon that each person on the planet could have five slices.

It is important that our lives have a foundation that will stand the tests that life brings our way. Jesus taught His followers that we must be like the wise man who built his home upon the rock, so when the storms came and the winds blew, it stood. The Bible teaches us that Jesus must be the cornerstone of the foundation of our lives, and Paul the apostle expands on that in Ephesians 3:16-17: “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love …” When we build our lives on Jesus, we discover that His love for us establishes us so that no matter what life throws at us, we can stand strong. When we have the absolute assurance that we are loved by Jesus, nothing that is said or done against us can shake us. You are loved deeply by your Creator. He loves you enough to have laid down His life for you. Live in victory today, rooted and established in that love.
