God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.

God Designed Food

If you are looking for a uniquely Canadian food, bake a Saskatoon berry pie. Although best known across the prairies, Saskatoon berries grow across North America from Alaska to Maine. The berries look much like blueberries, although they are more closely related to the apple family. They are usually said to have a sweet, nutty almond flavour. They are high in fiber, protein and antioxidants. Berries ripen in late June or early July. Like their apple cousins, saskatoons continue to ripen after they are picked.

God thinks of everything. That was obvious in the order of creation. Everything He created He had perfectly planned out in His infinite mind before He spoke it all into being. That was obvious when He spoke to Adam and Eve. He had just created the incredible garden called Eden that He placed them in. And in the garden, He had provided all that they would need for life. Genesis 1:29 says, “God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.” Imagine living in a paradise, where everything you needed for life was free of charge. You would never want for anything. That is what Adam and Eve were given by their Creator. We don’t know how long they lived in Eden before they allowed Satan’s temptation to become sin, but they lost more than their innocence. They lost their close fellowship with God, and their perfect life in paradise. God has a plan for your life as well. Don’t allow sin to destroy His best for you.
