The Lord works out everything to its proper end – even the wicked for a day of disaster.
Proverbs 16:4 NIV
Its Purpose
As a constitutional monarchy with a parliament comprised of the Sovereign, the Senate and the House of Commons, Canada’s form of government is among the most stable and enduring in the world. With an evolving role that predates Confederation, the governor-general acts on behalf of the Sovereign, Canada’s head of State. The governor-general has daily and fully exercised constitutional duties on behalf of the Head of State, not only in Canada, but also abroad.

God doesn’t miss a thing. That brings great peace and hope when we are going through a challenging time. It is a blessing to know that God has His eye on us and loves us enough to do something about what we are facing. But He also has His eye on us when we are walking in disobedience, or saying something hurtful or profane, or living in way that would bring shame to His holy name. We can’t expect that the Lord, who is by nature completely just, will bring about blessing for us when we are going through tough times, but ignores us when we are disobedient. King Solomon certainly didn’t believe that and so wrote, in Proverbs 16:4: “The Lord works out everything to its proper end – even the wicked for a day of disaster.” The world, and our lives, so often seem out of control. For those who deny God, and who don’t believe He is in control, there is great fear, and understandably so. We who know the Lord Jesus by faith have the conviction that Jesus is in control – and will one day straighten things out with justice. He will work everything out – for those who are in Jesus, and for those who are not.
These have been words from the heart.
