Words from the Heart for Monday November 1st, 2021
Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.
2 Corinthians 5:14 (NLT)
The Government of Canada administers the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), which establishes a framework for the control of drugs, referred to as “controlled substances,” that can result in harm to health or society when diverted to an illegal market or misused. This includes opioids like fentanyl and morphine, and other substances such as methamphetamine. Activities with controlled substances are generally prohibited, unless specifically allowed through regulations or by the issuance of an exemption, such as the production and sale of approved prescription drugs containing controlled substances.
The principles of the kingdom of God are reversed from the principles that drive this world. No wonder it is often referred to as the upside down Kingdom. In the Kingdom of God, we live by dying, we succeed by submitting and we are only truly free when we come under the control of Jesus Christ. Paul the apostle puts it this way in 2 Corinthians 5:14: “Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.” In the world’s principles, being controlled by another is not a good thing. In the kingdom of God, being controlled by the love of Jesus is the very best thing possible. Because we trust fully that we are loved perfectly by Him, under His control we are set free to live a life of victory and joy. Because of His no-strings-attached love, we become passionate to love Him as well – expressing that love in a life of obedience to His plan for our lives. How can you live in freedom today, under the control of Jesus’ love?
