For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 (NIV)

God So Loved

Niagara Falls remains one of the most popular places in Canada to propose. The Canadian side of the Falls is particularly impressive, with sweeping views of crashing water to captivate you and your loved one. Not only are the Falls themselves worth a visit, the nearby town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is also especially intimate and historic, with colourful gardens and pretty buildings to explore. According to Reader’s Digest, “Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town, or canoodle after a spa break – whatever your heart’s desire, Niagara-on-the-Lake is ready to play Cupid.”

There is love, and then there is love. What a blessing it is to experience human love – whether it is love within a family, romantic love between a couple, or the love a friend has for another friend. But there is a love that exceeds them all, and the Bible speaks powerfully and succinctly to God’s love for us in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This verse has been called the Gospel in a nutshell. At the heart of the good news is that God loves us, and Jesus died for us. There is no greater love, no greater truth and no greater experience. You really don’t understand love until you’ve put your trust in Jesus Christ and come to know Him as Saviour and friend. The Creator of the universe loves you and longs for a relationship with you. Jesus has done everything needed for you to get things right with God. Put your faith and trust in Jesus today and you will experience the fullness of His love.

These have been words from the heart.
