Words from the Heart for Monday February 25th, 2019
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
You might be surprised to learn that Canadian Pacific is now 45% owned by Americans. CP ships is now based in London, England. The hotel division recently purchased the Delta Hotel Chain that operates hotels in Bermuda, Barbados, the United States and Mexico, as well as Canada. But not to fear. According to their CEO David O’Brian, “We have not forsaken Canada. But we think we have the ability to also compete with the rest of the world.””
It is quite likely that somewhere along the line you have been disappointed by someone. The closer that person is to you, the greater the disappointment. In our day, far too many children live with the anxiety of parents separating and their lives being torn apart. Death steals our loved ones and we are face with having to deal with grief as our heart is torn apart. If you have faced disappointment or loss, there is good news in Deuteronomy 31:8: “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” While life changes all around us, and can too often seem rudderless, God gives us a great promise – He will never leave us or forsake us. He is never more than a prayer away and He draws close to those who need him. He is our rock when life changes. He is our companion as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. If your life is in turmoil, reach out in faith to the God who will never leave you or forsake you.
These have been words from the heart.
