Words from the Heart for Monday December 30th, 2019
They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.
Revelation 17:14 (NIV)
Sir John A. McDonald, the leader of the Fathers of Confederation, favoured the new nation being called the Kingdom of Canada. But with only 90 years since the American Revolution and 55 years since the War of 1812, there was still a degree of tension between Britain and the United States. There was a consensus amongst the British government that calling Canada “the Kingdom of Canada” would not go over well with USA.
The Battle of the Bulge was the last ditch effort of the German troops in WW II to drive the Allied forces back and protect Germany from those who were committed to ending the Third Reich long before the 1000 year rule Hitler had wanted. It failed and the rest is history. There is coming an end-time Battle of the Bulge. Just before Jesus finally says “enough” and ends the power and rule of the beast, there will be one final effort by the forces of darkness against the forces of heaven. It will be of no avail, of course. Revelation 17:14 tells us, “They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.” A friend of mine once said to me, “there is no doubt about the outcome at the end of time. When it is time, Jesus will just say ‘done’ and it will be over.” Of course it will. As it says here, He will triumph because He is Lord of lords and King of kings. Jesus is all-powerful and supreme and one day, soon, He will bring to an end the age in which we live and will usher in His eternal kingdom.
These have been words from the heart.
