Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died — more than that, who was raised to life — is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
Romans 8:34 NIV
The Right Hand
In a website to those visiting Canada, tips are given for driving in Canada. It says, “Before you travel to Canada, it’s smart to search whether or not you’ll need an international driving permit for your stay. USA citizens with valid licenses generally do not need an international permit for Canada driving, but it is a requirement for drivers from many other countries – check where you get your driver’s license.” Oh, if you are visiting from the UK, Canadians drive on the right hand side of the road!

Over the past few days we have been focusing on the resurrection power of Jesus that is available to all who have been redeemed by Him. Resurrection power by the presence of the Holy Spirit in each of us guarantees spiritual victory to all who will avail themselves of His power. This is good news, but there is more. Romans 8:34 tells us “Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died – more than that, who was raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” While you are living your life for Jesus, He is busy interceding for you in the throne room of heaven. The right hand here is the picture of God’s authority – Jesus speaks up on your behalf, holding all the authority of Glory. You are loved by Jesus, so much. His desire is that you will walk in purity, living a life that brings Him glory. As you reach out to Him, expressing your longing for His spiritual empowerment, He intercedes with the Father who will provide for you all that Jesus requests of Him. His power is then unleashed in you.
These have been words from the heart.
