For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

God Will Bring With Him

This past January, Canada made some changes that affect those living in Canada on a work permit who want to bring family members with them to this country. Starting January 23, the government expanded eligibility to work in Canada to spouses and dependent children of most work permit holders at all skill levels. This includes spouses, common-law partners or dependent children of a work permit holder who works in a job of any Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities category 0-5.

I read a testimony the other day from a lady in Cambodia who had been raised in a Buddhist home. She never found peace in the traditional religion of her family and a friend gave her a Bible to read. As she read it, she discovered what made all the difference. In her testimony she said, “the Bible tells me that Jesus is alive. Buddhism teaches that Buddha is dead. I want to worship the God who is alive. Jesus has given me the peace for which I was searching.” She is absolutely correct. The Bible does teach, over and over again, that Jesus is alive. The apostle Paul writes this in 1 Thessalonians 4:14: “For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” This is the heart of the Christian faith. Jesus died to make it possible for our sins to be removed and He rose from the dead to defeat death and assure us of eternal life. The death and resurrection of Jesus is applied to the heart and life of every individual who puts their faith in Him.

These have been words from the heart.
