Words from the Heart for Friday October 9th, 2020
Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
John 14:19-20 (NIV)
You Will See Me

I love a good mystery book. There is nothing like trying to figure out who is guilty and how they did what they did. I’m not very good at it, but when I do get it right, it feels really good. There is one mystery that I know I will never understand this side of Glory. Jesus puts it this way in John 14:19-20: “Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” There is a mysterious union between God the Father and God the Son, the Lord Jesus. In our feeble attempt to understand our God, who is unfathomable, theologians have described Him as the Trinity. But God remains a mystery. To add to the mystery, Jesus goes on to say that we are in Him and He is in us. This too is a profound mystery. Wherever we go, whatever we do, by the Holy Spirit, Christ has taken up residence in us. Take time today to ponder that mystery.
These have been words from the heart.
