Words from the Heart for Friday October 15th, 2021
The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV)
The Lord Will Guide You
Canada’s untamed wilderness and high-quality fisheries lure anglers from all over the world. They choose between self-guided trips or guided fishing tours. Canada is an angler’s paradise – a collection of deserted coastal streams, largely untapped rivers, and pristine nature. Nearly every freshwater species can be found in Canada, and many of them are unusually large, surprising even expert trophy fishermen. You’ll find a great selection of tranquil spots to sling a hook in some of the most stunning rivers, lakes, and reservoirs.
One of our sons, along with his family and in-laws recently hired a fishing guide who assured them they would come back with their legal limit of fish. They fished all morning and caught nothing. The guide felt horrible and said he had never had that happen before. There is no perfect human guide. Even the best can lead you astray. The only One who you can trust who will never lead you astray is the One spoken of in Isaiah 58:11: “The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” When we allow the Lord to guide our lives, He will lead us to places of great blessing. He guides us through His word, the Bible and by His Holy Spirit who dwells in us. And what blessing He brings, Isaiah says. In a time of spiritual drought, He provides Jesus as the water of life who satisfies the soul. In a day when we are ill, He provides strength for our physical bodies. He makes us beautiful.
These have been words from the heart.
