However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him —

Prepared
With seismologists predicting a massive earthquake along the Pacific line of fire, many in British Columbia are making preparations for such an eventuality. An early-warning system run by the Earthquake Engineering Research Facility at the University of British Columbia is currently in operation in B.C. schools. British Columbia has undertaken a massive seismic retrofit of its public schools based on guidelines established by the UBC research facility. More than 200 schools have already been seismically retrofitted using the new guidelines.

Human minds can create amazing things. If you dropped an early-20th century Canadian into 2022, they would think they were on a different planet. The number of inventions over the past century is mind-boggling. Many have been a boon to the human race and have made life so much easier. If human beings can imagine, then create such things, imagine what God has in mind. Paul speaks to this in 1 Corinthians 2:9: “However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’– the things God has prepared for those who love him.” God loves you – and He has some great plans for you. He is preparing those plans even now. Everything that God is doing in your life right now is preparing you for what He has in store for you next. At this point, Paul says, you can’t even begin to imagine what God has planned for you. But as you keep your eyes on Jesus, desiring to remain in the centre of His will for you, you have the assurance that God will work out His perfect plan for your life. Allow Him to do so.
These have been words from the heart.
