Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

Canada is primed to capitalize on the rising global demand for critical minerals and materials that will power the clean energy transition and advanced manufacturing. Canada is a key global producer of copper, nickel, and cobalt and hosts advanced mineral projects for rare earth elements, lithium, graphite and vanadium. Canada is the global leader in the production of potash and ranks among the top five global producers for diamonds, gemstones, gold, indium, niobium, platinum group metals, titanium concentrate and uranium.

There are things that God finds precious – things that are of great value to Him. As you would expect, none of these are material in nature. The apostle speaks to this in 1 Peter 3:4: “Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfolding beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” In this specific case, Peter is speaking to godly wives who are married to non-believing husbands. By expressing the fruit of the Spirit in this way, they are pleasing God and could draw their husbands to Jesus, which is always the most important thing. But it also gives us a clue to what God finds precious in every one of us. His great desire is to see the Holy Spirit at work in our hearts, expressing itself in a gentleness and quietness that mirrors the Spirit of Jesus. Take some personal spiritual inventory today and ask yourself if this is what you see in you.

These have been words from the heart.
