…who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

Philippians 3:21 NIV

Transformed

Canada is well known for its polite people, maple syrup, and endless winters, but some of us don’t know that we are also a quiet powerhouse of innovation. From game-changing tech to life-saving medical breakthroughs, Canadians have been behind some pretty incredible ideas. That’s also the reason we are introducing practical work in our universities and colleges, and many inventors come forward from it. And while some of these inventions are household names, others are quietly transforming lives behind the scenes.

There isn’t a single one of us who isn’t aware of how susceptible we are to the effects of sin in this world. Our bodies, minds, and souls suffer from all that this world brings at us – and as we become older, this all becomes more and more obvious. As my mother-in-law used to say, “getting old isn’t for the wimpy.” The apostle Paul suffered a lot as he got older, and with his complete confidence in Jesus, and his assurance as a citizen of God’s Kingdom, he writes this in Philippians 3:21: “…who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” In a world filled with brokenness, weariness, and decay, Paul reminds us of a radiant hope: Jesus will transform our frail, earthly bodies into glorious ones like His own. This promise isn’t just about physical renewal—it’s a complete restoration of our being. The same power that holds the universe together is at work in us, preparing us for eternity. Let this truth stir your heart today: you are being transformed. Live with anticipation, knowing that your future is secure, your body will be renewed.

These have been words from the heart.
