May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

Establish Hearts

On March 29, 1867, Queen Victoria gave Royal Assent to the British North America Act, a defining moment that paved the way for the birth of Canada as a self-governing dominion within the British Empire. The Act—formally titled An Act for the Union of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick, and the Government thereof; and for Purposes connected therewith—laid the constitutional foundation for what would become the Dominion of Canada on July 1 of that year. This landmark legislation was the result of years of political negotiation and constitutional compromise among British North American colonies.

I hope throughout your life you’ve had others praying for you. The prayers of a righteous man or woman has a profound impact on our lives, helping us to live a victorious Christian life. Paul loved those whom he had led to Jesus, and in 1 Thessalonians he prays that God would continue to work more deeply in their lives. 1 Thessalonians 3:13 says, “May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.” God knows that lasting faith begins on the inside. A strengthened heart is one that has been anchored—anchored in love, anchored in truth, anchored in hope. Holiness is not something we manufacture through effort; it is something God establishes as we walk closely with Him. Today, ask the Lord to strengthen your heart. Invite Him to deepen your love and steady your walk. Then you will stand in confidence, ready to meet the One who has been faithfully at work in you all along.

These have been words from the heart.
