But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57 NIV
Overcome
Himanshu Reddy moved to Canada at the age of 33 in the summer of 2022. He arrived in Toronto with two priorities: to find a place to live and to find a job. With experience navigating the many cultures across India, he adjusted personally to Canada’s way of life quite easily. Professionally, however, he had challenges to overcome as he searched for a job. He said, “My job search took about three months, and it was initially very hard. I applied to roles but was not even getting initial invites to connect with human resources.”

Yesterday we spoke about putting on the armour of God to assure victory as we engage in daily spiritual battles. God has provided all we need to stand firm in the midst of all the world and the devil throw at us as we determine to live for Jesus in a world that is far from Him. For many, the battle can seem overwhelming. The good news is that God has provided all we need to be victorious. Listen to the promise given to us in 1 Corinthians 15:57: “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” It is important to notice that this promise is not just for the future. We don’t have to wait for eternity to be victorious. God gives us the victory here and now. In this life. Today. As you live your life in Jesus today, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in you, and through the power of the word of God, the Lord has provided all you need to walk in victory. Move forward today in faith and trust – victory is yours in Christ.
These have been words from the heart.
