The Day Jesus Comes
Canadians moving back to Canada after living abroad need to, among other things, find a job and a place to live, get a new driver’s licence and health card, find a doctor, register to vote in their new riding, and find childcare, schools and recreational facilities. There are also restrictions on certain things you may be bringing back with you. Many of these pressing issues fall under provincial or territorial responsibility, and each province and territory has its own requirements.

There is a day coming when everything hidden will be revealed in the light of Christ. Paul reminds us in 2 Thessalonians 1:10 that when Jesus comes again, He will do so, “…to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.” What a breathtaking picture—Christ shining through the ordinary lives like yours and mine. We often think of glory as something distant, reserved for heaven. But even now, God is at work shaping us, refining us, quietly preparing us to reflect His Son. Every act of faith, every quiet obedience, every moment of trust in hardship is part of that preparation. One day, when Christ returns, the transformation will be complete. The world will see, not our goodness, but His. It is really amazing to think that our lives, with all their imperfections, are being woven into something that will bring glory to Jesus. That alone gives purpose to today. And await the day when the beauty of Jesus in His people will be unmistakable, and we will stand in awe, not only of Him, but of what He has done in us.
