“When you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (NIV)
Some people have interpreted this to mean that once we ask we are not to ask again. But that’s not what this means. Yes, we are to keep on asking, but don’t use phrases over and over again as if they are a magic formula. Do you ask your heavenly Father as you would ask your earthly parent?
