A woman in Myanmar endured terrible loss and sorrow. Her husband and three sons died at sea during a terrible storm, leaving her alone and grieving daily. Then she received a Bible—something she had longed for but never thought she would own. She said, “This Bible is the best gift, and the one thing I have most wanted in my life. I thought I would grow old and die and never have a Bible.” Reading her new Bible filled her with an overwhelming sense of peace. By God’s grace, she found herself able to smile again—something she had not done since losing her family.
