“My life in Cambodia felt like a heavy shadow,” Thida says. “I was constantly struggling with family tensions, overwhelming debt, and a deep sense of loneliness. Every day was a battle.” One day, a neighbour stopped by her home. “He spoke a name I had never heard before,” Thida says. “That name is Jesus.” He shared how deeply Jesus loves her and he read aloud the promises of God from his Bible. As she listened, something stirred within her. Thida began to understand her need for God’s love and forgiveness. “For the first time, my heart felt a flicker of something other than fear,” she says. “At that moment, I knew Jesus as my Saviour!”
