Worship is how we express our love for God. It is a deeply intimate expression of what God means to us, and one that can rejuvenate who we are as well. It is by God’s love that we can love the world; and this love can be given and expressed in worship.

There are many forms of worship. Painting, singing, dancing, writing and even sitting quietly and praying, all allow us to connect with God on a greater level and enter into his presence. As we rest in His presence we come to know who we are in Him, and how loved we are. It is amazing and overwhelming to think that the King of all kings, loves us with a love so powerful that it can move mountains and part seas.

Isaiah 25:1 says, “Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.”

There are dozens of bible verses that discuss worship, but this one stands out as through it we learn of the plans that God has for us; plans that were set in motion from the very beginning, and plans that will exalt and glorify Him, while helping us to take hold of the passions that he has placed within us.

When you worship, it is important to set all distractions aside, so that you can focus completely and fully on Him. This can be difficult to do, but when your sight and heart is fixed on Him, you can connect with God on a greater level. Embrace your method of worship, as God does not care about how you look but instead cares about your heart and your mind.

It is in Him that we can find our identity and achieve what he has planned for us, we just need to place our trust in Him. Let’s glorify Him for all that He has done and all that He will continue to do.
