God’s Word is for Every Season

Spring is almost here, and we are anxiously awaiting the new growth that comes this time of year. Not only are we reminded of the importance of the seasons as we welcome in warmer weather and new life, but that our spiritual lives are made up of periods of growth and opportunity as we walk forward in our relationship with God.

Many times we feel like we are walking in our season alone, whether it be one of spiritual growth or one of pruning. The Bible, however, is filled with stories and personal testimonies of those who walked with God through these seasons. When we feel lost, we can find direction and peace in knowing that God was relentless in His love, grace, and mercy no matter the season, and still is.

Psalms 119:89 says, “Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.” This verse is one of our favourites because it reminds us that no matter what, God’s Word is faithful and just and that it withstands the tests of time. His Word was settled in Heaven when David found his strength in God, when Esther stood before the King and spoke truth, and when Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

Today, the Bible guides and directs our paths, as we enter into new seasons and grow deeper in our relationship with God. The Bible also equips us to be able to do good works and share the message of Christ with others. On days of happiness or sadness, we can find comfort and joy, which is pretty incredible.

This month we have launched the Give a Bible campaign to be able to provide Bibles to those who have never owned the Bible or have never read the Scriptures in their language. Can you imagine not having access to God’s Word?

Whatever spiritual season you are entering into, remember the power of God’s Word.

“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

–  Isaiah 40:8 (NIV)  –
