A young Indian family finds prosperity in God
Falsely accused of stealing, Sahaj had nowhere to turn. Sahaj was 21 and the father of a one-year-old son he was unjustly fired from his construction job.
“You stole some packets of cement and iron rods.” his boss accused.
“It’s not true – I’m not a thief! Please don’t fire me.” Sahaj pleaded. Still he lost his job that day.
Sahaj’s wife supported the family on meager laborer wages while Sahaj searched for another job. Four difficult months passed by.
The prayers of one church planter helped Sahaj get back on his feet
One day, a church planter named Puji knocked on the family’s door. Sahaj shared his story of being unjustly fired, even after years of faithful work at the construction company. Puji read Matthew 11:28-30, and Christ’s words spoke to Sahaj’s heart:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Puji prayed for the family and for Sahaj’s job.
With Jesus’s help, things started looking up for Sahaj
A few days later, the construction company sent for Sahaj. “We found the thief who stole the cement and rods. We know now that it wasn’t you.” Sahaj was overjoyed when he was rehired!
Sahaj and his wife continued to meet with Puji and learn about Jesus. Soon, they each accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Now the prospering young family enjoys sharing their faith with other believers each week.
